The Lewis University men's swimming team has earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-American honor for the Fall 2013 semester.
"We are very honored that the men's team was recognized as a Scholar All-America Team," Lewis head men's swimming coach Roger Karns said. "Lewis Athletics stresses excellence in competition and academics."
"I am pleased that our student-athletes are stepping up and meeting both of those expectations," Karns said.
The Flyers completed the season with their second-straight winning season with a 7-4 dual meet record. Freshmen Victor Tarin (Godelleta, Valencia, Spain/IES Conselleria) and Aidan Brennan (Naples, Fla. /Barron Collier) represented Lewis at the 2014 NCAA Division II Men's Swimming Championships on March 12-15, in Geneva, Ohio.
The CSCAA Team Scholar All-American Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher.
