|The Flyer wins two awards for best Facebook page and best homepage

Lewis University’s student online newspaper The Lewis Flyer received honorable mentions in the best homepage category and placed third in the Facebook page category at the national College Media Conference in New York. The David L. Adams Apple Awards are presented as a “Best of Show” at the annual College Media Association Spring Conference in New York.
The awards are in honor of David L. Adams. He was a longtime College Media Award adviser and stalwart at Indiana University.
Current online staff members include: David Hansen, online editor-in-chief; Michael Gates, assistant online editor; Andrea Earnest, online community manager; Will Hoffman, special projects editor; Eric Hernandez, photo editor and Tyler Jankowski, assistant photo editor. Ben Eveloff, assistant professor of communications and adviser of the online Flyer.
