Lewis University will host their annual summer Recreational Activities Day (RAD) camp from 9 a.m. – noon each day of the following weeks: June 10-14, June 24-28 and July 22-26. The cost is $75 for each week of the camp. A $5 discount will be given to those who register for more than one week. There is also a $5 discount for those who register multiple children.

Quality instruction, a fun learning environment, an ice cream social celebration and daily pool time are just some of the features of RAD Camp. Common camp activities include sand volleyball, basketball, soccer, dodge ball, relay races, handball, kickball and a walk through Lewis University’s nature trail. The camp is offered for kids ages 5-14.

Campers should come prepared with a tennis racquet, sunscreen, insect repellent, gym shoes, hat, swimsuit, towel, labeled water bottle and a lock each day. The ice cream social celebrations will take place at 11:30 a.m. on June 14, June 28 and July 26.

Registration will be held at 8-9 a.m. on June 10, June 24 and July 22 at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center located on the University’s main campus in Romeoville.

Sponsored by Student Recreation, Fitness and Wellness, the camp is staffed by the Student Recreation and Fitness Center as well as students from the Lewis community. The staff is selected by their knowledge of activities, capacity to work well with children, and the ability to be positive role models.
