Fresh off their fifth-place finish at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships, Lewis University's junior duo of Zsofia Lanstiak (Budapest, Hungary/Karinthy Frigyes Gimnazium) and Zsofia Kranczicki (Eger, Hungary/Szilagyi Erzsebet Gimnazium es Kollegium) have been tabbed fourth in the country in the 2012 Campbell/ITA Division II National Women's Tennis preseason doubles rankings, announced on November 16th.
The duo is also ranked first overall in the Midwest region after racking up a mark of 7-1 this past fall. In singles play, Lanstiak (7-1) is ranked second in the region and 27th in the country; while Kranczicki (3-2) is 13th in the region. As a team, Lewis is ranked third in the region and 34th in the nation.
Lewis opens the 2013 spring campaign on February 22nd against Michigan Tech at a time and place to be determined.
