Lewis University Wind Quintet performs at St. John the Evangelist Church in Lockport

The Lewis University Wind Quintet will present a free concert at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, located at Washington and 11th Streets in Lockport, Illinois on at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 14. This performance is part of the Concert Series at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church.

The program will include Franz Danzi’s charming Quintet in A Major, Jacques Ibert’s Trois piece breves, Darius Milhaud’s La Cheminée du Roi René, Maurice Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante défunte, Charles Gounod’s Funeral March of a Marionette (the Alfred Hitchcock theme), and John Philip Sousa’s march “Fairest of the Fair.”

The Lewis University Wind Quintet is an ensemble of artist-faculty of the Department of Music at Lewis University: Laurel Tempas, flute; Robert Gordon, oboe; Mary Payne, clarinet; Paulette Velazquez, horn; and Lawrence Sisk, bassoon.
