Sport and Exercise Science Students Win IATA Quiz Bowl

Lewis University students in the Department of Sport and Exercise Science won the Quiz Bowl at the Illinois Athletic Trainers Association (IATA) Meeting and Clinical Symposium held November 4-5 in Springfield, Ill. The Lewis University team will represent Illinois at the regional competition in March 2018.

Student participants included Abrahim Alramhi of Frankfort, Haley McCabe of Mokena, Blayne Yarmat of Freeport, who is also the IATA Student Congress president, and Estefania Zavala of Joliet.

The IATA also awarded the Dr. Richard Dominguez Memorial Scholarship to Lewis University student Alejandra Rodriquez of Aurora. The annual $1,000 scholarship was based on letters of recommendation submitted on her behalf, as well as her academic achievements in the Lewis University Sport and Exercise Science Program.
