Don’t Neglect Google Scholar

Google is our friend.

When you are researching your topic in Primo and you come across an article that we do not have access to, don’t forget to check Google Scholar!

Scroll down to check the Google Scholar link FIRST!

You can find the link to Google Scholar right on the article’s request page. Instead of clicking on the “Request via Interlibrary Loan” link, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Search in Google Scholar” link.

Your article can be found on the right hand side with the pre-fix [PDF].

If your item is available in Google Scholar, you will see an item listed to the right of the results. Always click on the link to make sure the ENTIRE article is available. If it is, there is no need to submit that interlibrary loan request. The article is all yours for the taking!

If you still have questions, please let one of our staff members know and we will be happy to help.
