Multicultural Student Services will lead a cultural excursion to Bronzeville, on Chicago’s South Side, to explore landmarks where prominent African Americans gathered and settled at the turn of the 20th century. Erika Allen, Chicago and National Projects Director for Growing Power, will speak on providing equal access to healthy, high-quality, safe and affordable food for people in all communities, and how college students can help.
The Fulfilling the Dream Conference is aimed to motivate African American high school students to enroll in higher education. This year’s keynote, Dr. David Stovall, will speak on “Critical Race Theory and Social Justice in Education and Our Communities.”
