How To Change Your Google Apps at Lewis University Password

This site guides you in changing your Lewis University Active Directory password. Your new password needs to be a minimum of 7 characters and needs to include one number.

To change your password, you will need to know your Lewis University ID number.  If you do not know your Lewis University Student ID number, please call the ITSO Help Desk at (815) 836-5950 (off-campus) or x5950 (on-campus).

Option #1Option 1:

  1. After logging into the Lewis University Google Apps Portal at http://mymail.lewisu.edu, click the Settings link located at the top of the page.

  2. From within the Settings page, click on the Accounts link.

  3. In the Change Password section, click on the “Change Password” link.

  4. Enter your username in the Username field.

    Note: The default username will be the students first-name followed by the middle initial and then last-name.
  1. Enter your Student ID number or current password in the Current Password field.

  2. Enter a new password in the New Password field.

    Note: The new password must be a minimum of 7 characters, numbers or a combination of both.
  1. Enter the new password again in the Verify New Password field.

  2. Click on the Reset Password button to change your password.

  3. After your password has been reset, a new instance of your mailbox will open. You can click on Sign-Out to close out the window and return to the original window.

Option 2:

  1. Option #2From the login portal, click on the here link at bottom of the screen to get the password reset window.
  1. Enter your username in the Username field.

    Note: The default username will be the students first-name followed by the middle initial and then last-name.
  1. Enter your Student ID number or current password in the Current Password field.

  2. Enter a new password in the New Password field.

    Note: The new password must be a minimum of 7 characters, numbers or a combination of both.
  1. Enter the new password again in the Verify New Password field.

  2. Click on the Reset Password button to change your password.

  3. After your password has been reset, the login portal will reappear for you to log into your e-mail account.
