NOTE (Driving directions):

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will be making improvements to the Illinois Route 7 Bridge that extends from 159th street in Lockport across the DesPlaines River and merging waterways to the intersection where Route 53 meets Renwick Road, just south of Lewis University. These improvements will require closure of the bridge. beginning May 1 until or about August 31, 2008.

The bridge closure will affect many Lewis University students and those who will be visiting Lewis University for events such as Commencement, athletic events, meetings, conferences, May and Summer session, sports camps and more. Please click on Detour instructions for information on alternate routes. Thank you for your patience while the State improves the safety of this very busy bridge.
