The Dorm Life. Part Four: Meeting New People
Thursday, January 27th, 2011As all of you who are going to be residents next year move into your dorm rooms there is one big tip I can give you from my experience. The big tip is to meet a lot of new people and friends. You are not alone in wanting to meet new friends. Everyone else that will live in your dorm hall will be looking to meet new people and get that true college experience. Make sure you are really nice to new faces and that you may even get to know that person. Also while you are in your dorm make sure to stop and take the chance to meet others that live in your building or on your floor. Making friends that are around you can really help the process of living away from home. You will have your friends from high school or home but you want to make sure to get involved with others that surround you. Even if you are shy, try to break out of your shell and meet some new people because those fellow students could someday be great memories from your college years when you look back.
Make the most out of being in college. Meet new people, create new friendships, and most of all have lots of fun. Well and of course do lots of studying and focus on school work, but try to have fun while you do it!
This is the last part in The Dorm Life. I hope all of you enjoyed the segment and maybe even take some advice for next year!
