A transfer applicant is one who has completed at least 12 transferable semester credit hours at another university in the United States or has the equivalent of 12 semester credit hours taken at a foreign university.
Submit an international application with all sections completed. You can download or fill out an International Admission Application online at www.lewisu.edu/admissions/application.htm.
Submit an official credential evaluation of all foreign colleges or universities. Send your transcripts to Educational Perspectives for an official evaluation. Go to www.edperspective.org for more information and to download the application form. Allow 4-6 weeks for your evaluation to be completed. Be sure to request the course-by-course evaluation report.
Submit official transcripts from all U.S. schools.
Submit an official score from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). You can go to www.toefl.org to find out more information. The TOEFL may be waived based on ESL completion.
All international students must provide an Affidavit of Support (Declaration and Certification of Finances Form) from all financial sponsors. The amount being sponsored should be able to cover expenses for your first academic year at Lewis University. A form is provided with the international application. You are also encouraged to use the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services I-134 form located at http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-134.htm
Submit an official bank statement for a proof of financial resources from all sponsors showing the ability to cover expenses for your first academic year at Lewis University. The bank statement cannot be more than 6 months old.
Submit copies of your current I-20, I-94 and visa.
Once accepted, an F-1 Transfer Clearance Form needs to be submitted by your current school. A form can be found within the downloadable international application or you may request it from the international admission counselor.
