Scholarships Awarded Through Admissions

Scholarships are awarded upon admission and available to full-time undergraduate students based on outstanding high school or college academic records, outstanding talent in theatre, art, music or athletic ability.

** Students must be declared as a dependent student through the FAFSA in order to receive this award.

Note: Scholarships are not available to students who enroll in accelerated, contract, cohort and second bachelor's degree programs.

Endowed and Annual Scholarships

Endowed and Annual Scholarships are made possible through generous donors who understand the value of a Lewis University education and believe in the future of our students. The Endowed and Annual Scholarship Application is open to all traditional undergraduate and Graduate Education students.

The Endowed and Annual Application includes the four essay questions. Essays should be between 200 - 300 words in length. Be sure to thoroughly proofread each essay for optimal consideration. If you are a graduate student, type N/A in the space provided for these essay questions. The priority deadline for the initial awarding of scholarships is February 11, 2013.

Current students can access the scholarship application by clicking on the button below. You will sign in using your campus credentials (the same login you use to access your student records and Blackboard). New freshman and transfer students will get their login information when they attend SOAR (Student Orientation Advising Registration).

External Scholarships

All outside scholarships will be split between semesters unless otherwise specified. If you received notification that you are the recipient of an external scholarship, you can forward a copy of the notification to the Financial Aid Office and the amount will be added to your account at an estimated status until the check is received. Please include your Student ID number on all correspondence if possible.

Bill/Invoice for Scholarship Payment

If an invoice is needed for a scholarship, please send your request to Kathy Bruss, Scholarship Counselor at brusska@lewisu.edu.

If a copy of your bill is required for a scholarship, a copy of your e-bill should serve as official documentation. Any questions regarding your bill should be directed to the Office of the Bursar.

Requests for official transcripts or verification of enrollment should be directed to the Registrar’s Office.

Scholarship Calculators

The Lewis University Scholarship Calculators will provide you with an estimated range of what you could potentially receive in merit money based on your academic record (i.e., high school GPA and ACT score for freshmen and cumulative college GPA for transfers).

These scholarship dollars are limited, so you should apply for admission before the respective priority consideration date of January 15 for freshmen students or May 1 for transfer students. The Lewis University Office of Admission will provide you with a final decision concerning your academic scholarship eligibility for the 2012-2013 school year once you have been officially admitted to the university.
