Adult Undergraduate Tuition and Financial Aid

Affordable private education.

Our low tuition makes Lewis University the most affordable Catholic university in Chicago and one of the most affordable private colleges in all of Illinois.

Adult Learner Discount

As an added discount for our adult learners, we offer adult students $125 off each credit hour compared to our traditional rates. That's a nearly 17% savings on tuition.

Deferred Tuition / Company Reimbursement

Tuition is automatically deferred for adult students, and is due the week after each five- or eight-week course is completed. Adult students eligible for 100% company reimbursement will be billed at the end of every semester. Lewis has agreements with numerous organizations for tuition discounts. Please check with your employer, or let us know where you work, to maximize your tuition benefits.

Diocese Tuition Discount

In recognition of dedicated service to the Diocese of Joliet and Archdiocese of Chicago, and to encourage the pursuit of lifelong learning and development of skills as educators and leaders, Lewis University is pleased to offer a 33% tuition discount to employees of a Diocese school or institution.

Payment Methods

Lewis University accepts the following methods of payment:

• Cash
• Check
• Money order
• Credit card (online only – credit cards are not accepted in the Business Office or over the phone)

To provide students with a range of payment options but at the same time trying to reduce costs, we have partnered with Sallie Mae Solutions to enable you to use your MasterCard, American Express or Discover cards for your Lewis charges. (Sallie Mae will charge a 2.65% fee on the transaction amount for this service.)

We also provide a "no-fee" option of ACH payments. ACH allows families to pay tuition electronically by transferring funds from their personal checking and savings accounts.
