Women’s Studies Awareness Week

Discover how cultural norms and expectations influence the people we become.

Explore issues of respect, safety, body image and empowerment – learning more about the human condition in order to live better, more fully human lives.

Since 2008, the Women’s Studies Program has partnered with student groups, Student Services, Health and Counseling, faculty across the four colleges and an array of outside speakers to offer events that educate students on a variety of topics that relate to Women’s Studies concerns. Themes of past Women’s Studies Awareness Weeks include “Love Your Body,” “The Gendered Politics of Food,” and “Violence Awareness.”
