Pre-Physical TherapyOverviewPhysical therapy is a field where the practitioner uses physical methods such as manipulation, traction, exercise, massage, and heat/cold therapy to alleviate patient pain/disease. The ultimate goal of the physical therapist is to help the patient recover from and/or manage a wide variety of physical challenges. Many P.T. programs have moved to the D.P.T. (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree option. This is typically a three to three and a half year endeavor beyond the undergraduate degree for the student. The student should be clear that, for all programs in P.T., the undergraduate degree is a pre-requisite. |
