Dual MSN/MBA Program

If you want to achieve a top management position in nursing, two distinct skill sets are required. You must have a passion for nursing, and expertise in specialized health care systems. You must also have knowledge of the business concepts necessary for successfully managing a health care organization.

For professional nurses who are interested in developing these skills and attaining an impressive set of credentials, Lewis University offers a joint graduate degree program in business and nursing. Through this dual degree program, you can earn a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing concurrently.

You will develop strong analytical abilities, learn to identify and resolve organizational challenges, and master the basics of accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing.

You will also learn how to design and execute effective healthcare strategies. You will investigate the factors that influence community health, and learn about strategies for intervention.

Both aspects of the curriculum will help you develop communication and interpersonal skills, along with greater self-confidence in your professional abilities.
