Master of Science in Information Security (MSIS)

DHS/NSA LogosThe Institute for Information Assurance (IIA) at Lewis University was established as a result of collaboration between the Management Information Systems department at the College of Business and the Mathematics and Computer Science department in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The objectives of the IIA include:

  • Provide academic support and guidance for the interdisciplinary Master of Science in Information Security (MSIS), Bachelor of Science in Information Security (BSISM), and the Combined Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Master of Science in Information Security Dual Degree programs.

  • Develop curricular and professional offerings that respond to current trends and ground participants in key IA theory and practice.

  • Organize conferences, workshops and seminars that focus on the Information security needs of individuals, government and organizations.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with other IA Institutes, academic institutions, corporations and state and federal law enforcement agencies. Promote the awareness and understanding of IA concerns, threats and information security solutions in the university, communities and corporations.
