EXECUTIVE ADMISSION

The Graduate School of Management recognizes the qualities of business executives who have significant work experience, proven managerial success, and who warrant special consideration in regard to requirements for acceptance and graduation in the MBA program. The Admission Committee may allow a limited number of admission exceptions for those high level executives who show strong likelihood of success in the Lewis MBA program.

EXECUTIVE ADMISSION GUIDELINES

In addition to the general admission requirements an executive admission candidate must submit:

  1. A letter of petition to be considered for Executive Admission.

  2. A recommendation from applicant's superior and recommendation from one other business executive.

  3. A company organizational chart. (An applicant must have attained second-level managerial responsibilities and have a minimum of five managers reporting to him/her)

  4. A current resume demonstrating a minimum of eight years of business experience.

  5. An official company statement of the applican'ts budgetary responsibilities (an applicant must oversee a minimym budget of $5 million). If the applicant is an entrepreneur, information indicating a gross annual revenue of $300,000 must be submitted.
Executive admission candidates must complete and submit all required information within the first semester of their programs.

Students admitted to the Graduate School of Management under the executive admission policy are eligible to have a maximum of three courses from Phase III waived. The waiver for each course is granted by the Admissions Committee and must be applied for by the student. A case study for each of the courses to be waived is required and must be submitted to the committee for review and acceptance.

Students admitted into the Graduate School of Management under the executive admission policy are required to follow the same course outlines and requirements as are currently displayed in the graduate catalog.
