LL 502 Directed Research Study (1)
A variety of opportunities to learn research methodologies, electronic search processes, etc., and to apply this knowledge to class projects. Emphasis will be placed on teaching students to become critical consumers of research in their field and how practical applications can be a valuable tool in the organization. Introduction to basic statistical measures and research designs. Exploration of a variety of research approaches.

LL 509 Leadership: Theories, Practices and Context (3)
An analysis of contemporary theories and practices of leadership. Emphasis on application of theoretical concepts to actual leadership situations. Impact of organizational history and structure. Course is designed to examine the broad view of the field of organizational leadership.

LL 512 Assessing Leadership Skills (3)
An investigation of developmental psychology, leadership abilities and learning style based on personal and professional experiences, values and attitudes. Course provides students with a personal profile of their leadership style utilizing several inventories for identifying leadership competencies. Focus is on applying various instruments to effectively ascertain group leadership style and increase knowledge of organizational dynamics.
