Policies

The Lewis Library is a place for quiet research, study, and socialization.

The Library like all University buildings, is a smoke-free environment.

Theft and/or mutilation of library materials is a violation of University Policies and Regulations. Violators are subject to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from the University.

Cell Phones
Cell phone usage is disruptive and therefore discouraged in the library.

Heart Pacemaker
Heart Pacemaker wearers should be aware that an electronic theft detection system is in use at the main entrance of the Library. While this system is not believed to pose any problem to Pacemaker wearers, the Library recommends such persons contact the Library Circulation Department so that access to the Library may be made by faculty-staff elevator.
