The Lewis University chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society, is one of the most active honor societies on campus. Each year, the student members set the agenda. We take full advantage of our proximity to the Chicago area through field trips to historical conversation starters such as Blue Man Group, the special exhibits of the various historical museums, the First Division Museum at Cantigny, and ethnic and architectural tours. We have traveled to the Native American mounds at Cahokia (by St. Louis), the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Pow Wows, and the Feast of the Hunter’s Moon in West Lafayette, Indiana. We also regularly serve as judges for the Junior High School History Fair in Naperville.
