Elected StudiesELECTED STUDIES The Bachelor of Elected Studies (B.E.S.) is a flexible degree program designed for adults (24 years and older), which allows students with considerable experience outside the academic setting to design an individual program of study to meet personal interests and/or career goals. This degree is intended for those students who are able to clearly define their goals and relate them to an academic program of study. The B.E.S. is most appropriate for students whose individual needs are best met through a broad, interdisciplinary education.
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

Upon admission to the University, B.E.S. applicants are assigned to a College of Arts and Sciences counselor for assistance with the formulation of a proposed program of study for the degree. Admission to the Bachelor of Elected Studies degree program is final upon approval of the proposed program of study.
