Careers

Your degree in Criminal/Social Justice will provide opportunities for a number of exciting careers. In fact, many graduates of Lewis' Criminal/Social Justice program now hold high-level positions, both around Chicago and throughout the country.

The career outlook for criminal justice professionals is good. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects expanded opportunities for law enforcement officials, particularly police officers. Positions for correctional officers are increasing too, due to a rising inmate population and longer average sentences. National security concerns and drug-related crimes call for more qualified personnel at federal and state levels.
