COURSE: 02-200 Introduction to Biotechnology (3)
In this course the student will be introduced to the basic functions of cells as well as a variety of techniques that scientists utilize to manipulate these functions to create and mass produce biological-based goods and services.  The student will recognize the enormous range of applications of biotechnology as well as the social, ethical and economic influence that these applications have world-wide. Prerequisite: 02-107, 02-108, permission of instructor
