COURSE: 53-394 Pedagogy and Assessment for Effective 6-12 Instruction (3)
This course is designed to prepare teacher candidates to use research based strategies and assessment practices for effective instruction.  Candidates will examine and use a variety of research based strategies as well as develop an understanding of the purposes, characteristics and limitations of different assessment practices.  The candidate will have the opportunity to apply content area knowledge and knowledge of the student's developmental needs in the process of developing lesson plans and assessment tools for a variety of instructional models. Prerequisite: 2.75 GPA, Consent of Education Advisor.
