COURSE: L5-306 Concepts of Professional Nursing (4)
This course relates knowledge from the humanities and sciences to the practice of nursing. The history of nursing is reviewed, and present and future directions for nursing and healthcare are explored. Concepts relevant to the practice of nursing, such as professionalism, nursing history, communication and practice in a diverse environment are addressed. Students demonstrate competency in selected nursing skills during the course. Prerequisite: RN/BSN track student.
