COURSE: 63-467 Network Troubleshooting, Services and Support (3)
Emphasis is on testing network systems, troubleshooting and network security. Testing methodologies include acceptance testing, infrastructure testing, throughput testing, reliability testing, functionality testing and regression testing. Troubleshooting procedures are examined from all levels of network operations. Network security issues are addressed at the workstation level, the network level and the enterprise level. This includes general security problems, hacker attacks, virus attacks and special Internet security threats. Various countermeasures and protection methods are considered. Prerequisite: 63-440 and 63-446. Offered: Fall.
