COURSE: 54-309 Instructional Strategies and Learning Communities for the Sciences (50 Clinical hrs.) (3)
This course allows the pre-service teacher to examine critical components of teaching and how these components interact to create a positive learning experience. Students learn how to assess, design, and implement instruction in a learner centered classroom. Clinical experiences (prior and present) will assist the learner in applying this information. All requirements and class work will focus on teaching in the subjects of science, mathematics, and physical geography for grades K-12. Prerequisite: 2.75 GPA; Consent of Education Advisor.
