COURSE: 30-230 Foundations of Clinical Nursing (4)
This course provides an introduction to nursing care skills. It utilizes the nursing process as a framework for the provision of nursing care and provides a theoretical basis underlying nursing care approaches to meet basic human needs in health and illness. Basic clinical skills are acquired in a laboratory setting with the application of selected skills in a clinical setting. Prerequisite: Second-semester Sophomore Nursing major status; Nursing30-201 and 30-231 or concurrently; Chemistry 03-105; Biology 02-101, 02-102, 02-103, 02-104, 02-225 and 02-227; Biology 02-370 or concurrently; and consent of the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
