COURSE: 30-201 Foundations of Professional Nursing (2)
This course relates theoretical and empirical knowledge from the humanities and the physical and behavioral sciences to the practice of nursing. The course reviews the historical origins of nursing and emphasizes concepts that relate to the theoretical foundations of nursing, professionalism, communication and health care delivery. Prerequisite: First-semester Sophomore Nursing major status; English 06-111 and Speech 06-112; Psychology 26-100 and consent of the College of Nursing and Health Professions.
