- Lewis' aviation programs are FAA approved. The Lewis University Maintenance Certificate courses are approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 147, and are continuously updated.
- Lewis offers the oldest aviation program among universities in Illinois, and the only university aviation program in Illinois with an airport on campus.
- Lewis' aviation students recently achieved a 100 percent pass rate on their certification exams.
- Lewis' nationally ranked Flight Team offers great opportunities to work with a team and build friendships, while competing against Flight Teams from more than 80 schools.
- Aviation management is a high-tech career, and Lewis provides outstanding facilities for aviation students. Facilities include flight simulators, an airplane hangar, more than 25 aircraft, and the $2 million Harold E. White Aviation Center.
